Mountain View Resort is located off of Pine Mountain Lake in Backus, Minnesota. There are numerous activities including: Great fishing, Boating, Paddle Boats & Canoes, the Paul Bunyan Trail located about 100 ft. from the resort. There are plenty of dining choices in the area.

Boat Rentals

Boats and motors are available for rent.

Below are our prices. Gas is not included and is an additional charge.

6 HP Motor: $30 daily/$155 weekly

15 HP Motor: $35 daily/$180 weekly

14' Boat: $10 daily/$50 weekly

Life jackets are mandatory on all resort boats. 1 dock space is available per cabin.

Fishing

Pine Mountain Lake offers the angler many species of fish, including Walleye, Northern, Bass, Blue Gill, and Crappies. Fishing Mountain View Resort MN has a convenient screened in fish cleaning house on the premises. Pine Mountain Lake is 90 feet deep and is a rocky lake, perfect for walleye. Each cabin includes a 14 foot length boat. Mountain View Resort has a convenient screened-in fish cleaning house on site.

There also is a public landing within the city limits of Backus for larger boats and pontoons. You are always welcome to launch your own canoe or kayak from our own boat launch area.

The Paul Bunyan State Trail
